He was a doctor of the University of science and technology of China, professor and doctoral supervisor of the 100 person program of Guangdong University of technology. From 2006 to 2017, he served as the director of Biomass Catalytic Conversion Laboratory in Guangzhou Institute of energy, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was transferred to Guangdong University of technology in July 2017.He has been studying abroad and visiting scholar in Tokyo University of technology, University of Western Ontario in Canada and Royal Swedish Institute of technology.Presided over and completed more than 30 national and provincial key scientific research projects, such as national key fund, National 863 program, national 973 Program project and national major instrument development.He has won the "blue sky Award" of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, the first prize of science and technology award of Guangdong Province, and edited 5 books.More than 200 SCI papers have been published in the International Journal of energy and catalysis, and 32 invention patents have been authorized, including 1 U.S. patent and 1 European patent.

It has been selected as the innovation leading talents of the national ten thousand talents plan, the young and middle-aged scientific and technological innovation leading talents of the "innovative talents promotion plan" of the Ministry of science and technology, and the scientific and technological innovation leading talents of the "special support plan" of Guangdong Province.
