Brief introduction of speakers:

Suzanne giasson: Professor of physical chemistry and materials science, University of Montreal. He obtained bachelor's degree and master's degree in chemical engineering from Laval University (Quebec, Canada) in 1988 and 1989, respectively. In 1993, he received a doctorate in physical chemistry and chemical engineering from Western University of Ontario and Pierre Marie Curie University in Paris. From 1993 to 1995, he did postdoctoral research in the University of California, Santa Barbara. His main research fields were colloid and Interface Science, especially the study of surface phenomena at the molecular level of soft matter, such as adhesion, friction and binding. From 1995 to 2002, he obtained tenure in the Department of chemical engineering, Laval University, and established an independent laboratory specialized in Engineering Research on soft interface response dynamics. He joined the University of Montreal in 2002 and served as a joint full-time professor in the Department of chemistry and pharmacy. The laboratory has assembled two of the most advanced surface force measuring devices in the world.
Professor giasson's current research interests are the development and research of responsive micro nanostructured surfaces and coatings, as well as the reversible regulation of physical and surface chemical properties.Materials with hierarchical structure are obtained by surface chemistry, polymer science and self-assembly. These materials have important application prospects in biomedical surface engineering and microfluidics.
