●Roles of molecular oxygen (O2) in biological systems. Cell and tissue respiration, metabolism, bioenergetics, mitochondrial function. Hypoxia research and signalling. O2as a marker of cellular (dys)function and toxicity, applications to cancer, neuroscience and stem cell research.
●Imaging of cell and tissue O2. Live cell confocal FLIM and PLIM (Fluorescence / Phosphorescence Lifetime Imaging Microscopy). New O2chemistry, imaging probes and their bioanalytical applications.
●Advanced (bio) materials, phosphorescent porphyrins, bioconjugate chemistry, analytical method development. Fluorescent spectroscopy, time-resolved fluorescence.
Dmitri B. Papkovsky教授简介:
Prof.Dmitri B. Papkovsky,爱尔兰国立科克大学(National University of Ireland, Cork, UCC)教授。在爱尔兰国立科克大学曾经担任研究科学家、生物化学讲师,现任教授。Dmitri教授,早年在莫斯科州立大学,获得化学系理学硕士,在俄罗斯科学院生物化学研究所获得生物化学博士学位。Dmitri教授及其团队的研究领域是光氧(磷光)传感技术,即利用生物(致病菌、生物细胞)对氧气的消耗和敏感度快速测定食源性致病菌和血液血管细胞异常情况。从2008年至今获得Science Foundation of Ireland3项,Enterprise Irl1项,Department of Agriculture Fisheries & Forestry (DAFF)2项,European Union1项。在国际一流学术杂志《ACS NANO》、《Advanced Functional Materials》、《Biomaterials》、《Acta Biomaterialia》等杂志上发表了论文130余篇,专利和专利申请15余篇,截至2014年六月,H-index=34,担任SENSORS AND ACTUATORS B-CHEMICAL杂志的副主编。
